How to Live a Truly World Class Life
Long-time subscribers know that TIPS is not primarily about selling. True, I always have a section (below) where I recommend a couple items, but my philosophy has always been to market through "attraction." I figure if I provide good value and folks find it useful, that's all the selling I need to do. And for over fifteen years, it's worked pretty well.
But this week we have a thousand brand new subscribers and it happens that this issue is definitely focused on inviting folks to sign up for my 6-week class on designing, creating and living a World Class Life, the life of "peace, passion, power, purpose and prosperity" you've always wanted. I'm hoping many of you will sign up and join us! For long time subscribers who know all about this and have already decided to participate, you can get all the info and register at:
For newcomers and those who don't know what I mean by a World Class Life, here are a few notes:
1. A Life of Your Own.
Very few people actually design and create the life they truly want. Most of us are so "caught up" in making a living, taking care of the family and the busy-ness of life that there's little time to actually design the life we want. We have dreams, we even set goals, but it's rare to ponder and consciously choose how we want to live our one and only life. Don't let that happen to you! You've got one life. Use it wisely. Have some fun, have some adventures, make some mistakes, achieve great things, and find joy!
2. Systems Beat Goals (and Chaos!) Every Time.
Too many of us live from one crisis to another. In a sense, we experience life as a series of "urgencies." We are always trying to catch-up, get more done and find that mythical land of peace and contentment. It does not need to be that way! Invest the time, energy, and effort to create the life you want, once and for all. Delegate what you can. Eliminate what you should. Determine that while you will certainly DO many things, you will also BE who you are. Create time and space to live your own life, in your own way.
3. An Ounce of Prevention Beats a Pound of Cure.
A World Class Life is built on a series of principles that must be learned, applied and lived every day. A great life does not happen by accident! Take time to read, listen to audio programs, attend the conferences and workshops. Keep a journal. Meditate. Use a MasterMind team or work with a coach. Learn from your mistakes and make mid-course corrections that keep your life on-track and moving toward the values and outcomes you've chosen in advance. Invest in your own life.
4. Focus on the Big Things; Manage the Smaller Ones.
A great life puts our time and our best efforts into the things we consider MOST important. But a great life cannot neglect the "other" things! A life lived out of balance, neglecting loved ones or health or personal finances can never achieve greatness! It may achieve fame or even fortune, but at what cost? A World Class Life focuses on the "Big Pieces" but it finds ways to balance and maintain order, peace and harmony in the other areas of life as well.
So, how does one achieve this "World Class Life?" It's not easy, but it is simple compared to the complex, sophisticated things we do every day. It involves thoughtful choices and surrounding our lives with good boundaries, positive reinforcement, excellent skills and clarity of purpose.
What are the specifics? Many people have found mentors and role-models enormously helpful. There are books, audio programs and classes that can help IF we use them! (That's a huge IF!) And I'm inviting you to participate in a 6-week web-based class. Do I have all the answers? Probably not. Is this "all you need to change your life forever?" Of course not. There are no magic, instant fixes! But after teaching this for 15 years, the program has gotten very good and I've gotten pretty good at teaching it.
I invite you to join us. We begin on Wednesday, April 13th, and you can call in from anywhere in the world. I hope you'll check it out and if it fits, take ACTION and Sign Up!
